Mr. McIntyre

Mr. McIntyre on his ranch, August 11, 1970

Tuesday August 11th

Off at 7 am to take pictures of Derossiers ranch with sprinklers, also photographed Rae's place.

Back for breakfast then down to Mrs. Granslow, formerly Mrs. Sandberg. She lives in the family house. She says it was built in 1929 and 30 from timbers of an old bridge crossing the Elk River. Build by Carl Bloom - 80 years old now - a relative. 12 children in the family, one died in infancy.

Mrs. Granslow has lived in the house with her husband since 1961. She was born in the house her brother lives in next door (John the oldest or second oldest). They have repainted and wallpapered the inside in light colours - it having been decorated in dark patterned wallpaper and dark varnished wood work originally.

McIntyre field

August 11, 1970 McIntyre field near Waldo.

Lunch at camp then down to Sharpes but no one home - out haying - met neighbour Mr. MacIntyre photographed him and his hay field - then went to high bench land to get a distant view - average view - so looked for another - found it from a tree by the field but machines not working so will go again tomorrow. Evening went shopping at Jaffray with family, bread and milk and the like.

Went to Wardner to see about renting a boat- store keeper has one so will start tomorrow from Wardner and drift downstream. Most of the clearing has been done along the river but they may be enough left for a few pictures.
