Sandberg House

August 17, 1970 Sandburg house

Took family to Surveyor Lake again but it was too windy so went to Baynes Lake instead. Left them there to swim, it being another hot day. Went myself to Granslow's and photographed the house inside and out. Included people in some of the pictures. Mr. and Mrs. Granslow, Carl Bloom (cousin of Sandburgs) now over 80 (82 or 84). Harry Sandburg and Mrs. Conroy who was a Sandburg girl, sister to Harry and Dorothy also her daughter Marianne Conroy (8 or 9 yrs) - late when finished. Picked up family at six. Found them on the way back to lake from store, Louise looking very much like an Indian with her black braids and carrying the baby on the cradle board.

Started home (that is home to the tent at Ostreich's) but had small delay to photograph McIntyre field from tree. When up the tree I spotted 15 or so geese land in his field so came down and stalked them, trying for a landscape with flying birds. Will know when the film is developed if I was successful.

Relatives of Ostreich's arrived in trailer this morning so have decided to leave for Baynes Lake. Packed the truck.
